      <image:title>Home - Alexander the Great</image:title>
<image:caption>I rendered Alexander in the historical white armor as reflected in one of the earliest images of him, a 1st Century Roman floor Mosaic. Interestingly, origins of the cape can be found with Alexander. He was said to have worn the cape as a reflection of his hero, the Demi-god, Hercules. Hercules was said to have slaughtered a mythical lion and thereafter wore the skin as a cloak. In creating the costume I envisioned not just a warrior but an idealist. He was told by his parents that he was a descendant of the Gods. He was also the pupil of Aristotle the founder of western philosophy. In the psychoanalysis of Alexander I saw the first 'Superman'. I saw a man who was given the mental fuel have the courage to conquer the known world. I also a man who felt ordained to unite the world under the ideals in which he was imbued. It is said that style is a reflection of ones inner self. This example is quintessentially the essence of costume design. Alexander's armor tells the story of who he is.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Home - Conceptual Designing</image:title>
<image:caption>The preliminary set design needed to be completed in 2 days for presentation, which included all measurements and digital models to scale. The entire project, from concept to first recording, needed to be completed in 2 months. To expedite the design process I employed the use of conceptual design. By having a strong central idea design solutions would grow like a well watered seed, not only into a design that is well rooted, but into one that is aesthetically and functionally sound.</image:caption>

<image:caption>To accomadate the growing needs of the Audio Video Department for the JW organization they purchased a 70,000 sq. ft. industrial warehouse space. I assisted them in providing a layout to convert the spaces into several sound stages as well as provide spaces for storage, offices, and a cafeteria. Here is the primary space before the conversion.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Home - Project Role</image:title>
<image:caption>For this project I served as a Production Designer. I also assumed many other different roles such as the Research Team Coordinator due to my familiarity of the historical subject matter. I worked very closely with the Director in helping him to select all the appropriate visuals that would achieve his vision for the film. The focus was to portray the most accurate depiction of the environments, scenery, and wardrobe of this period piece as well as to use subtle design cues to reflect mood and setting.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Home - The ARC</image:title>
<image:caption>An Anthropological Rehabilitation Center would be a therapeutic environment designed with principles from anthropology, emphasizing cultural, social, and environmental factors that influence human behavior and well-being. In such a community, rehabilitation efforts would focus on healing and reintegration by addressing both the individual’s needs and the broader cultural or societal context that shapes their experiences. The design is inspired by the architect Paolo Soleri and his concept of a dimensional city that combines architecture and ecology- the arcology. He believed that arcologies would minimize a person environmental impact while providing space for residential, commercial, and agricultural needs. With The ARC, I seek to broaden that concept to address the marginalization and the housing crisis that faces our country. This concept blends the therapeutic goals of rehabilitation with a deep understanding of how culture, society, and environment influence individual behavior and healing. The facility could also serve as a temporary housing and relief center during times of crises or disaster.</image:caption>
